No. Cyclopentasiloxane is a highly volatile, low-viscosity silicone fluid. It is designed to act as a temporary carrier, evaporating completely at skin temperature without leaving any heavy, sticky, or greasy residue behind.

Why use this over alcohol as a fast-drying carrier?

Unlike alcohols, which can dry out the skin and hair, Cyclopentasiloxane evaporates without creating a cooling effect or stripping natural moisture. It provides exceptional slip and a silky feel during application, making it far superior for premium cosmetics, antiperspirants, and hair serums.

At what stage should it be added to a formulation?
